WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING A LINE COOK FOR OUR COTE CUSINE LOCATION

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The Line Cook will prepare food to the exact specifications of the Chef and set up stations for production. A successful Prep Line Cook will play a key role in contributing to our customer acquisition and satisfaction. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees all food productions operations in the kitchen.1 year experience as a Line Cook or relevant culinary experience preferred.
  • Prepares menu items in coordination with the Chef.
  • Inspects and verifies quality and quantity of products received from vendors and stocks inventory appropriately.
  • Inform Management immediately of product shortages or issues.
  • Effectively communicate with the team regarding menu items.
  • Help staff answer questions to fulfill customer requests and inquiries.
  • Collaborate for special events.
  • Responsible for all areas of production, including both hot and cold production.
  • Ensures that food is cooked and presented in a high quality and timely fashion.
  • Understand department standards of food quality and recipe taste.
  • Taste food prepared to verify flavor and texture standards.
  • Demonstrate judgement and creativity in food utilization.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation per health codes.
  • Display dedication and motivation to accelerate our business development by providing customers with a memorable experience. 
  • Complies with all store/ company policies, practices, and procedures. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management. 
  • Adheres to loss prevention and security policies, credit policies and procedures. 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year experience as a Line Cook or relevant culinary experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and ingredients.
  • Basic knife handling skills and food knowledge.
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Passionate about building a customer base and working in a new concept.
  • Physical requirements: able to bend, stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, lift, and move boxes up to 35 lbs.
